My Time is My Money
Somebody is rightly said time is money. Everything that you want to do in this world requires your precious involvement. In office you get paid for it. If I do not use it properly unknowingly I am wasting my money. The value of all the things either increases or depreciates. One should be very careful about the value which decreases and work to increase its value. I value my time and hence look for strategies so that I can get done my work efficiently in the least possible time. Yesterday I had an important proposal to talk about with my client. Making a call to my client would have been a lengthy process which would have taken my time which could stretch. However, I decided to mail the same thing to my client which hardly took ten minutes. The client went through the proposal and my work was done.
We should also remember that other people are also busy and anything done to save their time as well is appreciated. I evaluate the value of my engagement by making a calculation of the total hours invested in working and how much I have earned in a year. The real value comes from this calculation. However, this also tells me how much hours I have invested was productive. Money is not everything. We should always evaluate whether the hours invested in doing a work was worth it. Say for instance it is futile if I go to collect a check and invest an hour just talking to the receptionist. Similarly evaluate all the hours that would have been managed well and invested in some productive work. What we do today reflects in our future. All great people who have made a mark in this world has valued their and others time to achieve where they are and they are the one who inspire me to value my time.

It can be astounding to kno how only a few words of advice can make such a huge difference in carrying out a project. It isn’t a simple task to take on, renovating a house. Hence if the following tips are followed the whole ordeal will seem like much less effort. The first best tip when it comes to home renovations is to play around with the ideas and plans using a graph pad, that helps in laying everything out according to a proper scale. This allows home owners to tweak around with the plans in order to achieve the most desired effect. How this is carried out is you measure the length and height of your walls and associate them to a certain unit fit for the graph paper, then each unit on the graph is accordingly in scale with your calculations. The second tip for House Renovations is that removing clutter creates more space. If it is space that one is looking for then it is best to de-clutter.
Perhaps it is simpler to take the opportunity of renovation and use it to clear out things that are not needed. This gives the area a neater look, and creates space at the same time. The best way to do this is to go room by room and decide what is to be given away, to charity or to be discarded. One would be surprised the amount of space this exercise helps create. The third tip is to be bold and knock down a wall. It helps shake things up and really brings out the best in one’s designs. After all change is always welcome around a space one sees every day. Knocking down a wall often times gives the house a larger look. Perhaps larger than it really is, hence it helps create the illusion of more space. This can also prove to be cheaper than actually re-doing a whole room. The fourth tip is to improve the landscape. The planting and vegetation around the house can often prove to make or break the impression of it. It is often seen that tangled trees or unkempt front lawns give the impression of a shabby house not to mention they block a good view of the house. Thus it is one of the smartest and cheapest ideas to invest in a house’s landscaping, since it costs less to replant a plant than to rebuild a house. It is also a smart idea to redesign and renovate the outer walls of the house in order to have more windows. This helps bring in natural light inside the house which is always preferred to electric lights. If the above mentioned basic tips are carefully followed during House Renovations there are few chances one could go wrong.
